Seems like Honda is committed to making sure that it not produces style but also adds substance to its product; quality substance. This comes in the form of Honda’s continuous efforts towards trying to roll out more & more eco-friendly cars from its famed stable. Honda was always the Asian giant of automotive technology & when it comes to the four wheelers, Suzuki (its closest rival on two wheels, maybe even the leader) falls way short.

Now when a man as highly placed as Takeo Fukui, President & CEO of the company, walks out at an event that is as high profile as “The Green Car Congress”, then you know that a major announcement is about to be unveiled. He let the world know that the Fuel-Cell powered Honda FCX is about to hit the markets by 2008. This shows Honda’s unwavering commitment towards developing Hybrid fuel technology. Honda aims to hit a 10% mark in car production with Hybrid Fuel by 2010. That would be a massive increase of 500% in space of 3 years.
Honda also plans to let the Honda CR-Z hit the roads by early 2009. The sports coupe looks quite a piece on the wheels & is powered by Honda’s indigenous gas-electric IMA hybrid system. The car is an absolute beauty. Would I buy it? No. Why? Because I’m saving for my Ferrari GLX spider, of course. I already have a few 100 dollars you know, so I’ll get there one day....someday.
